Choose your coding tool

Prepare a KeenKind API key and a model ID available to your account, then choose a guide.

Codex CLI uses Responses; Claude Code uses Messages; WorkBuddy custom models use Chat Completions. In ZCode, add a provider and select the appropriate protocol as described in its guide.

• API key: your KeenKind API key.
• Model ID: an id returned by the model catalog.

The base URL is not the full request path. Normally, omit /responses, /chat/completions, or /messages from a tool’s base URL field.

Protocol compatibility does not mean every model supports tools, images, reasoning parameters, or every coding-tool feature. Start with a model confirmed for your tool, keep default parameters, and complete a small task.

Verify your setup

Select the KeenKind provider and model. Follow the API quickstart to read a project file, then check the request in usage records. If it fails, see API troubleshooting before repeatedly submitting a long task.
