Image generation and editing

After configuring an image model, describe an image in image mode or a normal chat. A task can generate a batch of images, shown in order at the end of the reply.

The model configuration limits each batch to at most 8 images. In Settings > Configuration, mark the model as supporting generation or editing and choose default format (PNG, JPEG, WebP), size, and quality.

Example:

Generate 4 product illustrations in one consistent style on a white background:
home, search, editing, and export.

Use reference images

Jump to Use reference images

Choose Reference on an existing image to add it to the composer. Models supporting image input can use the attached image for generation or editing.

You can also upload a local image or drag an image from the chat back into the composer.

Image processing supports up to 16 results per operation:

  • Crop and split.
  • Resize.
  • Compress file size.
  • Convert formats.
  • Remove backgrounds.

Before splitting complex artwork, specify the count, arrangement, and whether to preserve transparency. Check edges and dimensions before processing a larger batch.

Limits are 20 MB per output image, 40 MB across all outputs, and 40 million pixels per image. Reduce the number of pieces or process in batches when reaching a limit.

Right-click an image to:

  • Reference: add it to the composer.
  • Save: store it in the KeenKind image directory.

Drag images to apps that accept files. Dragging transfers the image file rather than a web thumbnail.

Symptom Action

Crop is offset Use the original image and specify the region, or split before cropping.
